The Convening, 2025
Watercolor on paper, 30" × 22"
There is a convergence in The Convening: a sea turtle rises into view, accompanied by a stingray and a group of tarpons moving through an expanse of layered blues. The hydrangea-like coral sets a dreamlike tone—familiar yet transformed by water and light.
The painting reflects an experience where memory, instinct, and awareness aligned in a way that felt both intimate and expansive. Each creature follows its own path, yet together they suggest a moment of shared presence—fleeting, perceptive, and deeply alive.
